He took my feet and propped them up
on the dash. That helped to stop the
bleeding. Here we were in the car
calling out to the Lord with my life and
the baby’s hanging in the balance. There
was nothing left to do but trust the
Lord. We were coming from Katy and would
have to take I-10 and then the Beltway
and then Hwy 59 N. By this time it
started to rain and we were in a full
scale thunderstorm. The rain poured down
and the hail was pounding the car and we
could barely see! Should we pull over or
keep going? We kept going and arrived at
the hospital in probably record time!
When we arrived it was pouring down and
they could not get me out of the car for
the rain. Everyone was soaked and the
stretcher was wet. I was blessed to have
a couple of towels brought from home to
cover myself! So in we went and straight
to labor and delivery where they began
getting me ready to have a c-section to
deliver the baby! Thank God the bleeding
had slowed way down.
The doctor on call compelled Dr Tsai to
come as this was my 4th c-section and
12th child. He didn’t feel too confident
entering that type of situation. Dr Tsai
arrived promptly. He had been at a Benny
Hinn Crusade and hadn’t wanted to leave
the anointing. Stephen told him on the
phone, “Dr Tsai, you already have the
anointing. We need your help here! The
anointing is for service now! So please
come!” He arrived shortly. He is a
precious Christian doctor that we met 10
years ago at Grace Chapel. He delivered
all of our first C-sections, Amy Grace
and two others, Mercy and John. He was
scheduled to deliver this child as well.
He is a spirit filled Christian Chinese
doctor who is anointed for difficult
situations. (Of the 12 children, 8 were
born natural at home and now 4 in the
hospital with c-sections with Dr Tsai’s
help.)
It was decided that I would have an
epidural and be awake for the delivery.
Stephen went into the operating room
with us and was there by my side. Both
doctors were intently working on me to
deliver the baby. Stephen said he could
only look to the Lord, pray, and comfort
me, which he did holding my hand and
calling on Jesus. He said there was too
much blood to look at the natural
surroundings and both of the doctors
looked so serious. Before long you could
hear this beautiful loud strong cry!
“It’s a girl! And she is perfect!”
They handed her to Stephen. What a sweet
precious bundle! Before long Daddy was
off to carry her to the nursery and Mom
was taken to recovery. What a blessing!
Then I started to think. This was
Mercy’s Birthday! The baby had been born
on the same day as Mercy! I had had to
lay down with her too! The night Mercy
was born I had just finished watching
Benny Hinn on TV and began to bleed and
they took me to the hospital lying on
the floor of our red van. Here this
evening the doctor had been to a Benny
Hinn partner’s conference! Here I was in
the same hospital Mercy had been born in
and with the same doctor that had
delivered Mercy! Wow! What a coincidence
and a miracle! Praise the Lord for his
blessings and miracles! What are we
going to name this little bundle?
Of course several names were tossed
about. The people at the hospital said
that the baby had to be named by the
time that we left. “Oh my, what are we
going to name her?” Melody, age 8, came
to the hospital and brought a letter and
said, “Mom you can read this later.” So
some time later I opened it to find a
letter for me and one for the baby. The
letter was precious. It read: Dear Baby
Sister, My name is Melody. I am your big
sister that really loves you. I prayed
for you every night and still will. How
do you like Miracle for a name? I want
you to know that you are a really
special baby and that God loves you.
Love you much, Melody When I read the
name “Miracle” something in me clicked.
A real joy flooded my heart now and I
could really receive this little bundle
from heaven as truly she was a
“Miracle”. Now I could accept her and
love her realizing that she was just
that, a “miracle” and that God had done
so many miracles to help us to keep her.
I had even threatened miscarriage
earlier in my pregnancy with her and to
be truthful I had guarded my heart from
accepting this child as all signs from
the start seemed to indicate she might
not make it. But I was able by the
Spirit of the Lord to release all my
fears and accept his abundant grace into
my heart. I began thanking Him for my
miracle! Now you understand why it meant
so much to us to hear several different
nurses repeat the words over our little
baby, “She’s perfect!” (2 Sam 22:31) The
head baby nurse held her up saying, “Why
she’s a little Star!”, not knowing
anything about the Star Family Singers!
Her second name became “Rose”. Why Rose?
Well that was a name my children,
Stephen and Mother have always liked.
Also, that evening looking up at the
television while I was in the hospital I
saw Paul and Jan Crouch pointing to a
rose in a case with the words “Our
Miracle Rose” above it. We had the sound
down so we couldn’t hear what they were
saying about the rose. But that name
just shined like a neon light. “Miracle
Rose!” Stephen and I both felt a witness
of the spirit, but never discussed it at
that time and just kept praying, “Lord
you know her by name.” The Daily Light,
our most cherished devotional, had this
scripture in it for May 27th. “Thou hast
found grace in my sight and I know thee
by name.” Ex 33. So, we didn’t have to
“think up” a name, but rather get into
the Spirit and ask God . “Miracle Rose!”
Yes that would be her name.
And to add to the drama, Miracle was
given a flower while in the hospital by
a precious friend named Laura. Guess
what it was? That’s right! A Rose! That
was the only flower that someone brought
especially for the baby! Later, I by the
spirit, turned on the television and lo
and behold there was the rerun of the
“Our Miracle Rose” segment. We listened
intently to hear the story. It was a
rose that a lady had given to Jan Crouch
in Red Square in what is now St.
Petersburg. She said in perfect English,
“Thank you”. Then as Jan turned to ask
someone to take a picture lo and behold,
the beautiful lady was gone! How could
she be gone? They were in a large square
and you could have seen anyone walking
away! They believed she was an angel
giving them a rose and thanking them for
reaching out to Russia. So we give
thanks for our “Miracle Rose” and for
you and for all of your fervent prayers
for us! The Lord sure has answered them
and honored them. We thank you from the
bottom of our hearts. We don’t know what
we would do without your prayers and
especially the Lord’s faithfulness!
“They that know thy name will put their
trust in thee, for thou Lord hast not
forsaken them that seek thee!” Psalm
9:10
We love you!
Love in Jesus, Adria and Stephen The
